Year 4 (under 9's) 18/19 season fixtures and Rules.

Whilst the home games should be at the Barry Sports Centre they are liable to be at other venues in the Vale

Before you look at the fixtures below, please read the following information that has been sent to ALL Clubs in regard of mini football at Year 4 (under 9's).

You will notice there are scattered KO times at the new Colcot 3g pitches please make sure your pitch is cleared by 10 to the hour i.e. if you're kicking off at 9am please ensure you have cleared the pitch by 9.50am. If you're late kicking off you only play till 10 to the hour.

You can sort out switching pitches after 20 minutes before hand i.e. with teams next to you or play the same team for 50 minutes with a short break. The option is yours, but please don't phone me up moaning saying you didn't want to swap.

Moulded studs only to be worn.

If the ball hits the fence it's a throwing, please mark this with a few cones.

Home teams to supply the match ball and bibs if there is colour clash.

Only coaches and subs are allowed in cages.

Remember it's a pound per player, this will be collected by the council, also a pound a player at St Cyres collected by Cogan coaches, Llantwit Comp 3G collected by Llantwit coaches

Cogan will run the matches at St Cyres

Llantwit will run the matches at Llantwit Comp 3G

Penarth Town will run the matches at Stanwell astro, 1 Archer Rd, Penarth CF64 2XL

If you don't have your DBS card with you when asked your TEAMS not team will miss the following week's fixtures

Rules for the VoG under 9’s mini football

1. If both teams have two sides you can play each other but no more than 60 minutes of football.

       2. 6-a-side with a size 3 football.

3. Only coaches (team leaders/DBS coaches, DBS helpers) and players allowed in buffer zone.

4. Parents and other spectators must be behind the buffer zone and nobody is allowed to stand behind the goal line or goals.

       5. Rolling subs.

       6. No refs, games to be controlled by coaches on the sidelines.

       7. Goalkeepers can either throw/roll the ball out.

8. Goalkeepers are not allowed to kick the ball out of hand or use a drop kick.

9. Goalkeepers can play the ball out from his/her feet, but once at his feet the ball is live in play and the opposition can challenge him/her.

10. If the ball goes out for a goal kick it is to be taken from the edge of the keeper’s box by any player. Attacking teams must retreat to the half-way line.

11. There are no off-sides and the goalkeeper can pick the ball up from a back pass but not direct from a goal-kick.

       12. Do not play any player who is older than this age group (Year 4).

13. Every team must have a team leader who is DBS checked or they cannot play.
